Silicone Protection Tape
Used to cover and protect external insulation.
This black silicone tape is NOT effected by UV light and adds a protective layer to external insulation. The special silicone compound will only bond to itself, requiring no messy glue compounds that could be damaging to high temperature insulation.
The tape is applied by over lapping the joint which then forms an impervious barrier and protects the insulation from both the elements and bird attack.

Because this tape is manufactured from a silicone compound, it can come into contact with hot surfaces like the solar collector.

For the security of the solar collector tubes, all solar collectors are delivered on pallets. All collectors are boxed for transport and easy to assemble. You can select your delivery area at the check out to find the cost of shipment to your delivery address.
If you are buying Solar Collectors please select Euro Pallet (normally all other parts you buy can also fit on to this pallet)
If you are buying Water Tanks / Cylinders, these are shipped by normal pallet.
All other parts can be shipped separately if required by Parcel Shipment.
ALL SHIPPING IS DONE AT COST.
Products are also available for collection from our logistics centre in Thame, Oxfordshire.

How To Compare Solar Collector Performance

The investment to install a solar thermal system is a not a small one, so it's important to know what you are planning to buy and install.
Whilst the general terminology between solar collectors like Ø58 x 1800mm tubes, insulated manifolds, heat pipes etc can be the same, the collectors performance level from manufacturer to manufacturer can vary massively. For this reason it is important you know how to make an approximate comparison with independent data.

We believe that SUNNPRO vacuum tube collectors offer the best performance to price ratio available on the market today.
Independent data shows SUNNPRO collectors can give you more than 50% more output than other leading brands on the market today. This 50% x 25 years installed life, equates to a substantial amount of energy and money. So making the right choice is important.

These test documents offer the consumer a way to look into the solar collector to see what you get for your money.
They are certificates of an independent test completed to an EN (European Normalisation) test, and completed by a certified test house.

Whilst some of the information in these test documents is very technical, there is some very simple comparison data to allow you to compare one manufacturer against another.

Test Reports

In a test report is it normal for the both the smallest and largest solar collector from the product range to have been tested.

Download the test document above and look at page 15.
In this page you are looking for the power output per collector.
The graph shows the power output in Watts in certain conditions. The collector will give you different outputs depending on the Power input from the Sun (across the top of the chart) and the "tm-ta" on the left hand side. "tm-ta" is simply the manifold (collector temperature) minus the ambient temperature.

The above graph is for a 30 tube collector. So to make a simple comparison for a 20 tube collector, simply divide the power output at any given point for the 30 tube collector by the number of tubes (30), then, multiply by 20 tubes.
Make sure when you compare with other manufacturers that is the same comparison data (example tm-ta 30K and 700[W/m²])

The above will give you a very close performance comparison. On page 15 of the test document you will also find the calculation for making an exact comparison.
